Girls Strike Back

Strike Back is a hugely popular UK/US action-adventure/spy-drama TV series based on a novel by former S.A.S. soldier Chris Ryan, available to view in the UK on Sky One. First aired in the spring, Season 8 includes, in its soundtrack to one episode, ‘Getting Nowhere Fast’, a post-punk favourite from 1980 by Leeds band Girls At Our Best.

We represent all of their recordings, including this fizzy, fast-and-furious mix of pop melody and punk energy.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
