GALACTICOS!

Hawkwind have carved their own furrow for over five decades, emerging from West London as the quintessential underground band with a style of psychedelic space rock all their own. The band continue to release critically acclaimed material and tour successfully, with 2026 seeing the arrival of two new offerings, Psychedelic Selection and Friends & Relations. Cherry Red controls vast tracts of Hawkwind‘s galactic back catalogue, from early demos to studio albums from the late 70s onwards and myriad spin-off projects.

Track Of The Week

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
