FUTURE LOOPERS?

Active across the nineties, London-centric indie label Planet Dog championed and pioneered all types of ambient, techno, breakbeat, psych and trance music. The company was headed up by Michael Dog, who ran the Club Dog and Megadogevents. Planet Dog played host to acts such as Eat Static, Time Shard, Children Of The Bong and Future Loop Foundation. The last of these will be treated to a 3-CD retrospective, The Planet Dog Years 1996-1998, in the New Year. Cherry Red are exclusive representatives for the Planet Dog repertoire.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
