Forever Ionic

Primarily the vehicle of Mancunian multi-instrumentalist composer Vini Reilly, The Durutti Column were one of the first acts signed to Factory Records.

Thanks to Reilly’s instantly recognisable guitar playing their music stood out from the more intense post-punk bands of the time.

Cherry Red have recently acquired material from 2001-2009, including the albums Rebellion, Somebody Else’s Party, Keep Breathing and the heart-wrenching Love In The Time Of Recession. Drop us a line if you’re interested.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
