To any fan of American indie and alt. rock, Dinosaur Jr need no introduction. From their roots on indie labels like SST in the 80s to mainstream success with Warner in the 1990s, J Mascis & Co. have been hugely influential. Amongst their most well-known songs are ‘The Wagon,’ ‘Whatever’s Cool With Me’, plus the UK Top 30 / US Top 5 Modern Rock hits ‘Start Choppin’ and ‘Feel The Pain’, which was used recently in a Gucci advert for their Jackie 1961 range starring Fifty Shades Of Grey star Dakota Johnson. Cherry Red represent Dinosaur Jr‘s Warner-era recordings, based around their quartet of albums: Green Mind (1991), Where You Been (1993), Without A Sound (1994) and Hand It Over (1997).
