Fe Fi Fo Van?

We continue to revamp the Fie! Records catalogue, acquired from Van der Graaf Generator’s Peter Hammill. The label was established in 1991 as an outlet for his solo work, leading to acclaimed albums Fireships, Roaring Forties, Everyone You Hold, Incoherence, This, All That Might Have Been and From The Trees. This adds to our representation of many of Van der Graaf Generator’s studio and live albums, including A Grounding In Numbers, The Aerosol Grey Machine, Do Not Disturb and Merlin Atmos Live 2013. The deal adds the studio albums Present (2005) and Trisector (2008) and the live recordings Real Time (Royal Festival Hall) (2007) and Live At The Paradiso 14:04:07 (2009).

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
