FAST POST-PUNK!

Fast Product, launched by Bob Last in 1978, was a truly seminal British post-punk label, providing a template for what followed (Factory, Rough Trade, etc.), which burned brightly for two years before being re-born in 1981 as Pop:Aural. We’re now the proud representatives for the two labels’ influential output, including landmark early singles by Gang Of Four (theDamaged Goods EP), The Mekons, The Human League (‘Being Boiled’), Scars, The Fire Engines and others.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
