Falling Into Place
We now have exclusive rights to the albums Falling Up and Diamond Jack And The Queen Of Pain by experimental genius Kevin Ayers. Active in the psychedelic movement of the 1960s, Kevin was a founding member of Soft Machine before recording a series of solo albums for Harvest, Island, Virgin and others. Such is his legend, veteran rock critic Nick Kent said; “Kevin Ayers and Syd Barrett were the two most important people in British pop music. Everything that came after came from them.” Diamond Jack And The Queen Of Pain was Kevin’s tenth solo album, recorded for the Charly label in 1983, whilst Falling Up was his thirteenth studio album and released on Virgin in 1988. Both albums will be given the deluxe reissue treatment by Esoteric Recordings later this year.
