Driver 67 ‘Car 67’ added to Cherry Red’s licensing catalogue

The novelty hit occupies a special place in the hearts of many pop fans, which explains why we’re so proud to announce the representation of ‘Car 67‘ by Driver 67, a No. 7 UK hit back in 1978. Behind its quirky cabbie chat, it was actually a classic heartbreak song.

Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
