Deep Cuts Of Indie Pop

We continue our exploration of alternative guitar combos with the release of Cut Me Deep: A Story of Indie Pop 1985-1989. Featuring hits, curios, and indie classics, the 4-CD set offers a snapshot of independent music sometimes tagged C86 (after the NME cassette). This includes many tracks we represent, by such artists such as Hurrah!, Grab Grab The Haddock, The Loft, The Chesterf!elds, The June Brides, Mighty Mighty, The Razorcuts, The Wise Acres, Biff Bang Pow!, The Brilliant Corners, The Flatmates, The House Of Love, McCarthy, King Of The Slums, The Jasmine Minks, The Darling Buds and The Mock Turtles.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
