Curtiss Maldoon graces soundtrack to new US independent film, Orange Sunshine

Part of the Purple Records catalogue, ‘Man From Afghanistan’ is a funky folk/blues workout by early 70s act Curtiss Maldoon. It graces the soundtrack to a new US independent film, Orange Sunshine, a documentary which charts the history of The Brotherhood of Eternal Love, a hippie organization of drug dealers/distributors active in Orange County in the 60s and 70s.

Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless.
