Cross Country Rebels
Initially part of hit instrumental combo The Tornados, Heinz became a solo star with help from maverick 60s producer Joe Meek, enjoying a string of hits. The singer’s best-known track is the tribute to Eddie Cochran, ‘Just Like Eddie’ – which reached No. 5 in the UK charts in 1963. Today we’re highlighting ‘Country Boy’, which has recently featured in the new Disney Plus series Rivals, adapted from a novel by Jilly Cooper. We recently released a 5-CD box set of Heinz’s 60s output.
