COVER UP!

Cover versions continue to be popular in the sync world. We have two 3-CD collections coming out across the summer, themed around the songbooks of Bob Dylan (I Shall Be Released) and The Beatles (With A Little Help From My Friends), each of which boasts recordings from our catalogue. In addition, we can license out hit covers such as Marc Almond’s ‘Jacky’ (Scott Walker), Hazel O’Connor’s ‘Hanging Around’ (The Stranglers), Iain Matthews’ ‘Shake It’(Terence Boylan) and Natasha’s ‘Iko Iko’ (The Dixie Cups) or popular reinterpretations like Suzi Quatro’s ‘Warm Leatherette’ (Grace Jones, The Normal), Everything But The Girl’s ‘Night And Day’ (Cole Porter) and Alice Fredenham’s ‘Wild Wood’ (Paul Weller).

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
