CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY SPILT MILK?

Fran O’Toole was one of several singers with The Miami Showband, one of Ireland’s most successful groups of the 1960s and 1970s with seven chart-topping hits. Fran’s solo track ‘Clap Your Hands And Stamp Your Feet’ has featured in a recent film, Spilt Milk. Set against the backdrop of 1980s, working class, inner-city Dublin, this drama centres around an eleven-year-old Bobby O’Brien, who dreams of becoming a great detective like his TV hero Kojak. FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
