Cherry Red acquire more catalogue by The Fall

Mark E. Smith‘s band The Fall have been ploughing their unique, uncompromising musical furrow since the late 1970s.

Cherry Red are now the proud custodians of many of The Fall‘s recordings, from their earliest recordings on Step Forward in 1979 (including singles ‘Rowche Rumble’ and ‘Fiery Jack’ and the albums Live At The Witch Trials and Dragnet) right up to the present day.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
