Cherry Red acquire Graduate Records material

Alongside The Maisonettes’ early 80s smash hit ‘Heartache Avenue’, Cherry Red now also represent other nuggets from Midlands indie label Graduate, including Mod Revival tracks by The Circles and The Sussed, post-punk (The Last gang) and Synth-Pop (Whizz For Atoms).

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
