Carmen Electric!

Founded in 1970 by David Clark Allen, Carmen fused rock, progressive, and flamenco music, epitomised on their debut album Fandangos in Space (1973). Produced by Tony Visconti, the LP graced Rolling Stone’s list of 50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums of All Time. We represent all of their recordings from the first half of the 1970s, including the aforementioned Fandangos In Space, Dancing On A Cold Wind (1974) and The Gypsies (1975)

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
