Boys Will Be Boys

The Boys are an English punk rock/power pop band formed in London in 1976. Forming from the ashes of London SS and The Hollywood Brats, they released two albums before signing to Safari for 1979s’ To Hell With The Boys, 1981’s Boys Only and a Christmas album as their alter egos The Yobs.

While the band were always popular at the time, their music has subsequently influenced the development of many punk bands and they still tour to this day, when global circumstances permit! Cherry Red are the custodians of the Safari Records catalogue.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
