BIG CATS!
Nottingham’s C Cat Trance were formed in the early 1980s by John Rees Lewis after his departure from Medium Medium. Fusing elements of synth pop/electronic music, tribal rhythms, post-punk and psychedelia, they made four albums across the decade before splitting up in the 1990s. Their off-kilter brand of post-punk often incorporated world music elements, which is especially evident on the track ‘Shake The Mind’, which features in a new Dutch crime drama The Big Fuck-Up, which focuses on the antics of the Belgian Gendarmes in the 80s.
