BEYOND BRITPOP!
Britpop was a term coined by Select magazine in 1993 to describe a new wave of British acts who provided an alternative to US grunge. Our new 4CD anthology due in April, All You Good Good People: Britpop and Beyond 1995-1999 traces the development of indie music from the height of the Britpop explosion in 1995 through its aftershocks to the post-Britpop period in 1999, on the cusp of the new millennium. Cherry Red represents plenty of relevant music from that era, including tracks by Powder, Drugstore, 60 Ft Dolls, Edward Ball, The Fall and more. Drop us a line to hear more.
