Anarchy In The El Tri

Founded in the early 70s, veteran London band Cock Sparrer are now one of the biggest on the punk scene, headlining the likes of Rebellion festival.

These leading voices on the Oi scene often penned lyrics which dealt with topics related to the daily life of the working class. Their anthem ‘We’re Coming Back’ has been used in episode 103 of US TV docuseries The Anarchists, chronicling the strange and deadly annual Anarchapulco event in Mexico.

We control the majority of Cock Sparrer’s back catalogue, including Shock Troops (1982), Running Riot In ’84 (1984), Guilty As Charged (1994) and Here We Stand (2007).

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
