Since departing PiL in the early 1980s, Jah Wobble has been carving a niche in any genre he wants – from dub to world, jazz to folk, post-punk to funk –and has amassed over forty albums in three decades. This week’s track is ‘Dark Luminosity’, a pulsating, bass heavy trip with attitude and intrigue. Cherry Red are the proud custodians of his 30 Hertz label and catalogue. A rich and varied endeavour, the repertoire includes the critically acclaimed Chinese Dub album and the two records he made for Trojan, Heart And Soul and Mu.
