A Sound Salvation

The Selecter’s hit 1979 single ‘On My Radio’ epitomised the 2Tone label’s blend of old ska rhythms and new wave energy. We represent the rights to their remake, ‘On My Radio 91’, which features in a new documentary about The Selecter’s singer. Pauline Black: A 2-Tone Story explores her life, tracing her journey from a challenging upbringing in 1950s Essex to becoming a pioneering voice. We own the rights to many ska revival records by the likes of original 60s pioneer Laurel Aitken, later albums by 2-Tone-era stars The Selecter and Bad Manners, respected acts like Maroon Town, Big 5 and Hotknives, NYC band The Toasters, and more modern acts such as Sonic Boom Six.

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
