A SLICE OF PSYCH

Hawkwind return with Psychedelic Selection, a new album that blends fresh studio material with unheard archive recordings and reworked classics. Rather than a retrospective, the release captures the band in motion, combining brand new compositions with live-in-the-studio performances and newly interpreted versions of key tracks. Highlights include the final recording by Huw Lloyd-Langton, alongside material drawn from associated projects by Dave Brock and Magnus Martin. Bridging past, present and future, Psychedelic Selection reaffirms Hawkwind’s status as pioneers of space rock.

Track Of The Week

FOXY FRIENDS

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
