A SIGN FOR WALES!
Founded in 1969 by folk singers Dafydd Iwan and Huw Jones, Sain (pronounced “sign”) is Wales’ oldest independent record label and a pioneering home for Welsh-language music. Its first release, Huw Jones’ Dŵr, reflected the country’s social and cultural identity, and the label went on to work with artists such as Meic Stevens, Geraint Jarman, Heather Jones and Bryn Terfel. Based in its multi studio building in Llandwrog near Caernarfon since the early 1970s, Sain has expanded to cover genres from pop and hip-hop to classical, with sub-labels like Crai and Rasal nurturing new Welsh talent. We are delighted to be representing the catalogue for sync – drop us a line to hear more!
