The Rods are an American heavy metal band formed in 1980. They were fronted by Ronnie James Dio’s cousin David “Rock” Feinstein; the pair played together in rock band Elf but The Rods’ sound differed considerably; adopting a more traditional, heavy metal sound. Cherry Red have acquired the recordings of four live concerts by The Rods, including El Paso 1981, Portsmouth, Headbangers and Cortland – New York.
In addition to The Rods, we are proud to represent a large collection of studio and live recordings from the hard rock/heavy metal/thrash world, from the extreme sounds of Acid Reign and At The Gates to power metal bands like Riot and hard rock acts like Chrome Molly, as well as the more traditional NWOBHM sounds of Tokyo Blade and Girlschool.
