A Penny For Your Thoughts

Dantalian’s Chariot were born during the heady days of psychedelia’s ‘Summer of Love’ boom in 1967. Duly inspired, keyboard player/vocalist Zoot Money formed the band with Andy Somers (guitar, sitar – later known as Andy Summers in The Police), Pat Donaldson (bass) and Colin Allen (drums). They attracted praise for their innovative music, a light show imported from San Francisco and their single ‘The Madman Running Through The Fields’, now a cult favourite. The B-side, effervescent ‘Sun Came Bursting Through My Cloud’, has been used in a recent episode of HBO’s Batman-related spin-off Pennyworth, which is now in its third season. The series also includes ‘Lifetime’ by The Bliss and ‘Good Day’ by Nektar, which are also represented by Cherry Red.
