A League Of Their Own

English punk rockers Anti-Nowhere League have been a force on the punk circuit since the late ‘70s. They reached No. 1 in the Indie Charts with their debut album We Are…The League from 1982. Its final track ‘Let’s Break The Law’ has just been featured in the new series of Disney’s Welcome To Wrexham, the hit documentary following the fortunes of Wrexham Football club following their takeover by Hollywood celebrities Rob McElhenny and Ryan Reynolds. Cherry Red represents all of Anti-Nowhere League’s original recordings, alongside some later albums. We also publish many of their songs.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless. The song is featured in the US drama mini-series A Friend Of The Family, which aired recently on the Peacock network.
