A Huge Folk Heritage!

A Huge Folk Heritage!

From the late 1960s to the 1980s, Alan Green was a one-man cottage industry, recording and releasing over 200 folk and country albums, based largely around local acts playing in Wales and the North West of England.

Alan ran several labels, including Folk HeritageMidas and Westwood. As the records were pressed in limited quantities, many now command high prices on the collector’s market.

Green’s most prolific outfit were The Houghton Weavers whereas acts such as The BardsThe Minor BirdsGallery (pictured) and Folkal Point are now cult favourites.

Cherry Red are now representatives for this illustrious catalogue.
