Acid jazz combo Corduroy featured on The Guardian’s ‘Anywhere But Westminster’

Back in the mid-1990s, Acid Jazz combo Corduroy blended early 70s Funk with 60s Soundtracks and Mod grooves to perfection.

One of their many club anthems, ‘London, England’, has been adopted by The Guardian newspaper for the latest instalment of John Harris‘ acclaimed feature Anywhere But Westminster.

Cherry Red represent all of Corduroy‘s Acid Jazz recordings.

Noosha Fox and friends injected some sophisticated glamour into the UK charts of the mid-1970s. Fox‘s ‘Only You Can’ peaked at No. 3 while ‘S-S-S Single Bed‘ peaked one place lower. ‘If I Point At The Moon’, taken from their 1975 self-titled album, is a lilting, sublime pop ditty that sounds remarkably timeless.
